MND press release to clarify the rumor “A record of air communication spread on the internet was the dialogue between Chinese pilots and Taiwan’s personnel” (July 21st, 2017)
For the rumor on the internet “Record of air communication spread on the internet was the dialogue between Chinese pilots and Taiwan’s personnel”, MND clarified (21st) the incident with statements as follows:
- There was no long-ranged training for Chinese aircrafts. Some of the news report telling the dialogue was between Chinese pilots and Taiwan’s personnel was non-fact.
- Any unknown aircraft approaching Taiwan’s ADIZ will be informed by officers in Battle Control Centre through “Guard channel” to warn the aircraft to leave immediately.
3.“Guard channel” is an international channel of emergency. As broadcasting all types of aircrafts and radio stations can receive or record the communication. The leaked record was not released from the National Force.
